L-3 Avionics Systems' power conditioning products provide reliable normal and emergency aircraft power in military, aerospace, commercial transport and special missions applications throughout the world. Our J.E.T. line of Emergency Power Supplies and Power Conditioning equipment provide mission critical functions and are designed to drive essential flight instruments and systems.
J.E.T. Power Supplies Key Features
- Automatically controlled internal heaters
- Maintains full charge from normal flight operations (rechargeable to 50% capacity within one hour at 25°C)
- Front panel and remote self tests
- Capable of withstanding severe performance requirements, including thermal shock and high charge and discharge rates
- Heavy duty, sealed lead-acid wet cells
The PS-835 is a 24VDC power supply which provides continuous standby power for self-contained gyro horizons and essential flight instruments. Rated at 2.5 (835C model) or 5.0 (835D model) ampere hours, the unit provides a nominal 2.5 to 5.0 hour life when supplying power to self contained standby attitude gyros at 25°C. During normal operation, the aircraft 28VDC system supplies power to the battery pack and indicator. During a power failure, the PS-835 batteries take over supplying power to essential instruments without interruption.
